TOEFL Overview
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized exam designed to evaluate a person's proficiency in English across four key areas: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Students aiming to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies are often required to take the TOEFL as proof of their English language skills. The test is conducted around 30 to 40 times annually and is widely accepted by all educational institutions in the United States, as well as by several universities in the United Kingdom and Canada.

TOEFL Internet-Based Test (or TOEFL iBT)
- You can take the test either at a TOEFL test center or from the comfort of your home.
- It is available over 170 times annually.

TOEFL Essentials
- The test duration is approximately 90 minutes.
- Reading and listening sections are brief and focus on everyday English usage.
- More than 500 institutions around the world recognize the test.

TOEFL Scoring
- Each of the four sections of the test is scored on a scale of 0 to 30 points.
- You will also get an overall score of 0-120 based on the individual scores.
- For every right answer, you score a point and there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
- Your TOEFL score is valid for two years from the date of publication of the result.
- You are allowed to send your score up to 4 universities free of charge.
